AUSTINS FERRY PRIMARY SCHOOL

 

Austins Ferry and
Windermere Primary
Schools are new schools
opened in 2011 in the south
of the State to cater for the
merging of Abbotsfield,
Claremont, Mt Faulkner and
Roseneath Primary Schools.

Austins Ferry is located on
the old Roseneath Primary
School site in Claremont
and has 3 new play areas
with play structures catering
for 3 different user age
groups of students.

	SOFTFALL

If you have trouble
visualising how much is in a
semi load of certified
organic hardwood softfall,
this photo shows 3 semi
loads or approx. 225m3.

With the changing face of
forestry and mills closing in
Tasmania, our hardwood
softfall is becoming harder
to obtain. At this stage we
still have reasonable access
to supplies in the south, but
limited access in the
northern part of the State.
Of course this can change
at any time.
Rubber undersurfacing is
an alternative and it is
possible for schools and
councils to ‘do it yourself’ in
small areas such as under
swings, end of slides, base
of poles, etc. We can
provide all instructions for
installation.
We strongly advise that
larger areas are performed
by our contractors to make
sure standards are met.
